A central topic was the Ministry of Economy and Planning’s thorough briefing on both domestic and international economic progress, featuring in-depth examinations of the latest economic indicators. This briefing shed light on the anticipated trends and hurdles that the global economy may face, also sharing insights and strategic recommendations.
Furthermore, the briefing presented a comprehensive overview of the national economic performance, drawing attention to the encouraging strides made in economic diversification policies. It highlighted the considerable investments that are bolstering the Kingdom’s ability to navigate global challenges while ensuring continuous development across various sectors. This reflects the effective implementation of the Kingdom Vision 2030 programs and the drive towards a prosperous economy.
The council also evaluated a report from the National Centre for Performance Measurement (ADAA), detailing the public agencies’ achievements in the final quarter of 2023. The report encompassed an extensive appraisal of the public sector’s efficiency, the advancements in performance metrics, and empowerment initiatives. Throughout the year, ADAA supported over 27 government entities by conducting 150 workshops, scrutinizing 300 documents, and producing 81 performance reports. Additionally, the report included an analytical review of the national strategies’ performance and the methodologies for their ongoing evaluation and enhancement, along with outlining future goals for the performance assessment of government agencies.
Concluding the session, the council formulated and issued a series of decisions and recommendations pertinent to the discussed matters, marking another step towards achieving the Kingdom’s ambitious economic objectives.
