At a pivotal gathering in Islamabad, the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan led the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) session aimed at bolstering the two nations’ economic partnership.
Discussions at the meeting revolved around unlocking the abundant prospects for advancing economic cooperation in diverse sectors. The enhancement of trade exchanges to meet the ambitions of both countries’ leadership was also a prominent subject of the dialogue.
Prince Faisal praised the longstanding Saudi-Pakistani ties, emphasizing that the visit by the high-level Saudi delegation to Pakistan builds upon previous discussions held in Makkah between Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif. The visit is seen as a crucial step to spur investment avenues in various domains and to extend support to investors from both states.
Accompanying Prince Faisal bin Farhan to the meeting was a distinguished group that included the Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture Abdulrahman Al-Fadley, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef, and Advisor to the Royal Court Mohammad Al-Tuwaijri. Other notable attendees were Assistant Minister of Investment Ibrahim Al-Mubarak, along with high-ranking officials from the ministries of foreign affairs and energy, the Public Investment Fund, and the Saudi Fund for Development.
