Saudi Arabia is not only focused on advancing its economy but also aims to attract global talent, according to the Minister of Economy and Planning, Faisal bin Fadel Al-Ibrahim. Speaking at the Global Labor Market Conference, Al-Ibrahim emphasized the importance of Saudi citizens working alongside the best talent worldwide, learning and making a meaningful impact. He stated that the country needs to be a “magnet for talent” in order to achieve its objectives and create high-quality jobs. Al-Ibrahim also highlighted the Kingdom’s ambition to become a productivity-led economy, focusing on investments and nurturing talent to stay at the forefront of technological transformations.

Al-Ibrahim emphasized the impact of technology and artificial intelligence, stating that these advancements will disrupt every sector. He called for Saudi Arabia to be proactive in embracing these changes, either by shaping the future or by being early adopters to reap their benefits. The minister also discussed the Kingdom’s industrial complex, which aims to enhance global competitiveness by upgrading facilities and creating high-quality jobs in Industry 4.0 lighthouses.
