In a recent visit to Vienna, Faisal Al-Ibrahim, the Saudi Minister of Economy and Planning, held a series of important discussions with international leaders. These talks were aimed at fostering cooperation on key economic and sustainability issues.

Al-Ibrahim’s dialogue with Ghada Waly, the Executive Director of the UN Office in Vienna, centered on the partnership between Saudi Arabia and the United Nations concerning the Sustainable Development Goals and various matters of mutual concern. This exchange took place against the backdrop of the minister’s trip to Austria for the ninth session of the Saudi-Austrian Joint Committee.

Further enhancing international relations, Al-Ibrahim met with the head of the OPEC Fund for International Development, Abdulhamid Alkhalifa. They delved into the fund’s forthcoming projects, indicating a keen interest in the future of global development efforts.

The Saudi minister also engaged in productive discussions with Martin Kocher, Austria’s Minister of Labor and Economy. Their conversation revolved around reinforcing trade and bolstering economic connections between the two nations, as well as exchanging insights on developments of shared interest.

These critical meetings, which were also attended by , the Saudi Ambassador to Austria, underscore the Kingdom’s commitment to advancing economic cooperation and achieving sustainable development on an international scale.
