In anticipation of the upcoming Eid Al-Fitr celebrations, the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) of the Kingdom has launched a comprehensive guide outlining the festivities. This Eid Al-Fitr Events 2024 Booklet is a rich tapestry of cultural festivities including, but not limited to, pyrotechnics, live music, and theatrical shows, set to occur across various locales throughout the nation.
The guide is accessible for those interested in planning their Eid itinerary, with a downloadable version offered online. In a grand display of festivity, the skies will be aglow with fireworks at 9 pm each night starting from the first day of Eid Al-Fitr, symbolizing the communal joy of the holiday.
Theatrical arts are a cornerstone of this year’s celebratory events, with a selection of plays featuring renowned Arab talent. Notably, Riyadh’s Mohammed Alali Theater will stage The Neighbor
on April 14. Concurrently, Jeddah’s Batterjee Medical College Theater is set to host The Red Box
on April 13, and Dammam’s Alasala Colleges Theater will present Ors Aljen
on the same day.
Musical enthusiasts can look forward to eight concerts dispersed across the kingdom, providing a harmonious backdrop to the festivities. Moreover, Eid revelers can enjoy extended hours at Boulevard City and Boulevard World, as well as the Via Riyadh area, which will welcome visitors into the late hours of the night.
Jeddah will also be at the forefront of the Eid celebrations with the ‘Eid Destination’ event at Jeddah Promenade. Spanning ten days, this event promises a potpourri of folk performances, music, entertainment, and interactive activities.
The GEA has encapsulated this year’s Eid Al-Fitr theme as ‘Your Eid Is among Your Family and Loved Ones’. This sentiment underscores the GEA’s commitment to nurturing bonds among residents and visitors alike, spreading cheer and creating memorable experiences.
