The King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) recently became the gathering place for renowned academics and researchers during two simultaneous scientific gatherings. One was an international symposium dedicated to the study of porous organic polymers, and the other, a workshop titled “Women in Science and Engineering.”
These concurrent events, which took place yesterday, were not only a platform for discussing the latest advancements in porous materials but also a celebration of women’s remarkable contributions to the fields of science and engineering. The events aimed to motivate the upcoming cadre of young women to pursue careers in these critical sectors.
Esteemed participants from across the globe were invited to speak, comprising a select group of influential academicians and professionals. Their presence underscored the international scope and prestige of the events.
In an effort to extend the reach of these insightful discussions, all lectures were broadcast live. This initiative sought to disseminate knowledge far and wide, enhance social engagement, and encourage the exchange of innovative ideas and professional networking among the global academic fraternity.
The events were further enriched by various ancillary activities, including a research poster exhibition that highlighted the depth of ongoing scientific inquiries.
