The groundbreaking developmental project in northwest Saudi Arabia, NEOM, recently held its first NEOM Social Responsibility Awards, a ceremony designed to recognize the exceptional contributions of its staff, various divisions, collaborators, and local communities.
Nadhmi Al-Nasr, CEO of NEOM, praised the laureates, emphasizing that their dedication to social responsibility mirrors the core principles of NEOM and is in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030. Al-Nasr highlighted the importance of sustainability, innovation, and positive impact, celebrating the team’s work in fostering a sustainable and prosperous future for the community and the country.
The prestigious event welcomed NEOM executives, employees, partners, local students, and community members from NEOM and Tabuk, and commemorated 19 individuals across three primary categories: NEOM Sectors, NEOM Partners, and NEOM Individuals, further segmented into sub-categories including employees, families, students, and community members.
Victors from the NEOM Sectors included NEOM Operations, THE LINE, and Oxagon, while Nesma & Partners, Ernst & Young, and King Fahd University were celebrated in the NEOM Partners category. Thirteen individuals were also honored for their personal contributions.
The awards not only recognize but also aim to inspire more significant involvement in social responsibility initiatives. They reflect NEOM’s dedication to empowering communities and fostering sustainable development.
In the previous year, NEOM’s social responsibility initiatives reached 50,000 people, with 26 projects awarded in Tabuk, and 583 individuals from both NEOM and Tabuk benefiting from job opportunities. NEOM also launched a comprehensive volunteering platform, engaging a multitude of volunteers in community service.
NEOM’s Social Responsibility arm continues to drive socioeconomic advancement, quality of life improvements, and instill a culture of responsibility that aligns with the aspirations of Saudi Vision 2030 and NEOM’s mission to create a lasting positive legacy.
