In Saudi Arabia’s capital, Riyadh, a grand celebration of leisure and technology has commenced with the opening of two highly anticipated expositions – the Saudi Entertainment and Amusement (SEA) Expo and the Saudi Light and Sound (SLS) Expo. Over the span of three days, the events promise a spectacle of interactive exhibits, state-of-the-art advancements, and a glimpse into the future of the entertainment sector.
Notable figures such as local and international authorities, government dignitaries, and sector experts are participating in the expos. The inauguration was led by Mohannad Al-Abbad, Deputy CEO of Investment and Business Development at the General Entertainment Authority, which was soon followed by exclusive tours for distinguished guests.
In a conversation, Majed Aleid, the Director of the Entertainment Sector at the Ministry of Investment, accentuated the Kingdom’s strides in the entertainment industry, emphasizing its contribution to elevating the standard of living. Aleid pointed out that the events are designed to foster collaboration, innovation, and dialogue among investors, creators, and industry connoisseurs from around the globe, with the intent to inject novel concepts and initiatives into the entertainment landscape.
Organizer Sarkis Kahwajian, representing DMG Events, highlighted that this year’s program is unprecedented in its diversity, offering an array of the latest products and breakthroughs in the Saudi realm of entertainment.
Key collaborations are set to unfold during the expos, with Saudi Invest, a division of the Ministry of Investment, poised to ink a deal with Nowaar Entertainment focused on experiential events and content creation.
Furthermore, multinational firm Dallah Al-Baraka is slated to join forces with Germany’s esteemed Europa-Park. This partnership will encompass consultancy, training provisions, and equipment sales, all aimed at bolstering the industry in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
As the SEA Expo progresses, it will become a showcase for new offerings from a plethora of enterprises. Meanwhile, the SLS Expo will offer attendees an exploration of innovations in lighting, sound, live event production, theater technology, and augmented reality.
Industry giants like Six Flags Qiddiya, SEVEN, Cruise Saudi, along with government entities, will conduct discussions on a range of topics. These will include the evolution of Saudi’s entertainment sector, synergy between local and global brands, culinary and refreshment services, amusement park developments, sustainability practices, and strategies for workforce retention.
