Saudi Arabia has been selected as the host country for the final stage of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League Elite for the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 seasons, according to an official announcement by the AFC.
The Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) will be responsible for hosting the final stage of the tournament for these two seasons, starting from the Quarter Finals.
The tournament will feature the top 24 Asian clubs, divided into two leagues representing the West and East regions. Each team will play eight matches, with the winners advancing to the Round of 16. The winners of the Round of 16 will then proceed to the final stage, beginning with the Quarter Finals, which will be hosted by Saudi Arabia.
The final stage matches are scheduled to take place from April 25 to May 4, 2025. The winning team will receive a prize of $12 million, while the runner-up will be awarded $6 million.
SAFF President Yasser Almisehal expressed appreciation for Saudi Arabia’s selection as the host of the AFC Champions League Elite finals, citing the country’s successful track record of hosting various regional, continental, and global championships.
