Saudi Arabia is set to observe a four-day holiday for some workers and students in celebration of the 94th National Day, as reported by local media.
The Kingdom’s National Day, which falls on September 23rd, will this year extend the weekend for many, with an additional day off on Sunday, September 22nd, according to the Ministry of Education’s calendar. This means a four-day break from Friday to Monday for many employees and students.
The General Entertainment Authority (GEA) has announced that the theme for this year’s celebration remains “We dream, we achieve,” reflecting the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 projects and its leadership in various sectors. The GEA has encouraged all entities to adopt this theme for the National Day festivities.
Saudi Arabia’s National Day commemorates the unification of Najd and Hijaz into the Kingdom in 1932, named after the ruling House of Saud. Celebrations across the Kingdom include events, traditional activities, and widespread decorations.
