The Saudi ESCO 2024 forum has officially begun its proceedings in the capital city of Riyadh, drawing in a multitude of service providers specializing in energy efficiency from throughout the Kingdom. This congregation aims to refine energy utilization protocols within the commercial and industrial sectors.
The Minister of Energy and the Chairman of the Saudi Energy Efficiency Center’s (SEEC) Board of Directors, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, graced the event with his presence, accompanied by several board members.
In the forum’s inaugural address, the SEEC’s Director General, Nasser Al-Ghamdi, articulated the center’s aspiration to be recognized internationally for energy efficiency expertise. Al-Ghamdi asserted SEEC’s ambition to exemplify the conservation of natural resources, aiming to achieve a blend of sustainability and economic and social flourishing by the year 2030. He commended the unwavering support from various state sectors, particularly the energy sector, and lauded Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz for his instrumental role in this endeavor.
SEEC took the opportunity to introduce a suite of initiatives designed to bolster the Kingdom’s energy efficiency services sector. The session was also a platform to celebrate and honor academic entities, SEEC-certified energy service providers, and firms participating in the center’s trailblazing commercial sector project.
An exhibition was unveiled alongside the forum, featuring a plethora of energy efficiency service providers. This segment provided a stage for these entities to present their energy audit services for diverse facilities, attracting a substantial audience from among the commercial enterprises and individuals with an interest in the sector.
