Al-Jubeir acknowledged the continued role of petroleum as a core energy source for the coming decades. He stressed the imperative of efficient energy production across various sources, the minimization of wastage, and the conservation of Earth’s natural resources.

The Kingdom’s commitment to combating climate change was underscored by Al-Jubeir, who pointed out that Saudi Arabia stands as a formidable investor in clean energy. He brought attention to sizeable projects in this sector, including a leading-edge hydrogen project in NEOM, situated in the country’s northern regions.

In his remarks, Al-Jubeir also delineated the pivotal elements and aspirations of Saudi Vision 2030, which includes enhancing the quality of life, youth empowerment, and magnetizing investments to foster stability, growth, and prosperity within the Kingdom.

He further highlighted the essential role of international collaboration and dialogues among countries to bolster cooperation, stability, and to collectively tackle climate-related challenges.

Al-Jubeir concluded by accentuating the Kingdom’s intensified efforts in fostering global relations, leveraging its strategic location connecting three continents and encircled by key waterways. He also reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s influential stature in the energy markets and its position as a global investor. The Middle East Green Initiative was cited as a prime example of the Kingdom’s dedication to promoting global climate cooperation.
