Aramco Digital, the tech subsidiary of Aramco, has partnered with Accenture to boost generative AI and advanced technology adoption within its operations.
This follows Unilever’s recent selection of Accenture for its global AI initiatives. Aramco, a major player in the oil and chemicals industry, aims to lead in digital transformation through Aramco Digital.
Partnering with Accenture, Aramco Digital aspires to excel in generative AI, which has been heralded as a transformative technology by Accenture and McKinsey & Company.
“Generative AI will reshape business and talent landscapes. Our partnership with Accenture positions us to lead this transformation,” stated Tareq Amine, CEO of Aramco Digital. He emphasized their goal to leverage AI to support the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
The partnership focuses on creating an AI-ready workforce. Aramco Digital will use Accenture’s LearnVantage platform, which offers personalized learning and skill assessments through a generative AI recommendation engine, ensuring employees gain essential tech skills.
The LearnVantage platform will provide foundational and specialized AI skills, including responsible AI use. Accenture will also offer access to a network of Arabic and English trainers and mentors from various industries and academia.
Externally, Aramco Digital and Accenture aim to extend AI capabilities to other organizations in Saudi Arabia, aligning with Vision 2030’s digital talent development goals.
Omar Boulos, CEO of Accenture in the Middle East, expressed enthusiasm for transforming learning in Saudi Arabia and strengthening the workforce with future-ready skills through this collaboration.
Kishore Durg, Global Lead of Accenture’s LearnVantage, highlighted the platform’s role in accelerating digital skilling and ensuring effective learning, marking a significant step in their partnership with Aramco Digital.
This initiative builds on the longstanding relationship between Aramco and Accenture, including a major digital consulting contract from the previous year.
