The Saudi Company for Artificial Intelligence (SCAI) has entered into a collaboration with Elm, focusing on boosting the AI capabilities within government institutions in Saudi Arabia.
This partnership, announced during the Global Artificial Intelligence Summit in Riyadh, aims to improve the efficiency of government services through AI technology. SCAI, established in 2021 and owned by the Public Investment Fund, seeks to position Saudi Arabia as a leader in AI by developing applications in smart cities, healthcare, public transport, and sustainability.
Working alongside Elm, a prominent IT consulting firm, SCAI will explore AI applications for the public sector, creating prototypes and solutions. Elm will offer strategic advisory services to support SCAI and public sector AI initiatives.
The agreement covers a range of AI technologies, including machine learning and generative AI, which could significantly boost Saudi Arabia’s economy. Projects will include developing applications similar to ChatGPT, enhancing voice and speech recognition, and utilizing data analytics for forecasting.
This partnership is one of four agreements Elm secured at the summit, with others involving SITE, Fountech Labs, and Incorta. Elm stated that these alliances are part of its strategy to advance digital transformation in line with Vision 2030.
