The Esri Saudi Arabia User Conference 2025 has commenced in Riyadh, gathering GIS users, partners, and experts to explore the latest advancements in Geographic Information System technology. This third edition, held on January 21-22 at Fairmont Riyadh, emphasizes the theme “GIS: Uniting Our World.”

The conference is a key event in supporting Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, highlighting GIS’s role in urban planning, smart cities, and sustainable development. Over 1,800 participants from various sectors, including government and academia, are expected to attend.

Esri Saudi Arabia offers solutions such as Smart Infrastructure Management, Geospatial Security Operations, and Modern Utilities Network Management. The event also launched the inaugural GeoExcellence Award, recognizing innovative contributions in the GIS sector.

Recipients of the award include organizations like the Imam Abdulaziz Bin Mohammed Royal Reserve Development Authority and Saudi Post. Additionally, Esri Saudi Arabia announced partnerships with several companies, aiming to enhance geospatial technology adoption and innovation.

The conference includes a Memorandum of Understanding with NEO SPACE GROUP and a Letter of Intent with Prince Sultan University and Redlands University, fostering collaboration in geospatial sciences to support academic growth and innovation.

Esri’s involvement in projects like NEOM and The Red Sea Project highlights GIS’s critical role in Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. The company aims to integrate AI and machine learning into its offerings, further contributing to the Kingdom’s economic and environmental objectives.

CEO Toufic Yannieh emphasized Esri Saudi Arabia’s commitment to Vision 2030, stating that their GIS solutions are essential for smart cities and energy management. The conference offers workshops and discussions to help industry professionals implement GIS solutions effectively.

Esri Saudi Arabia, a leader in GIS, continues to empower organizations globally with innovative geographic information solutions, supporting data-driven decision-making and sustainable development.
