Lucid Group has announced a strategic partnership with King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Saudi Arabia, aiming to accelerate electric vehicle (EV) innovation. This collaboration will utilize Saudi Arabia’s expanding resources to support Lucid’s development in advanced EV technologies.
Through this alliance, Lucid will gain access to KAUST’s high-performance computing resources, enhancing research in areas such as advanced driver-assistance systems, powertrains, battery systems, and vehicle software. The partnership is expected to drive progress in materials science, focusing on new metallic and polymer composites, heat-reflective glass, and other innovative materials to improve vehicle efficiency and durability.
Joint research and development will be conducted at KAUST’s state-of-the-art laboratories, bringing together expertise from multiple engineering disciplines to design and prototype next-generation EV components and systems.
This initiative aligns with Saudi Arabia’s broader vision to become a leader in sustainable mobility and underscores both partners’ commitment to advancing electric vehicle technology on a global scale.
