In a rapidly evolving technological landscape, 23-year-old Mariam Al-Ahmar is emerging as a beacon of inspiration for Saudi Arabia’s youth, eager to contribute to their nation’s progress.

Al-Ahmar, a software engineering graduate from Prince Sattam University, recently secured first place in the Mediathon hackathon organized by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. Additionally, she achieved third place in Tamkeenthon, a health-focused competition by the Authority for the Care of Persons with Disabilities.

Her achievements have garnered widespread attention, leading to appearances on notable TV shows such as Al-Akhbariya’s “120 Minutes” and MBC’s “Good Morning Arabs.”

Reflecting on her participation in these competitions, Al-Ahmar described the experience as both enriching and challenging. She emphasized the importance of identifying real-world problems and presenting effective solutions, highlighting the significance of teamwork in overcoming obstacles.

“The passion for technology fueled my pursuit of software engineering,” Al-Ahmar said, crediting Prince Sattam University for providing a strong educational foundation.

She believes that her success stems from innovative problem-solving, meticulous attention to detail, and a collaborative team dynamic. “These factors, coupled with a relentless pursuit of excellence, set our projects apart from those of our competitors,” she added.

Offering advice to aspiring students, Al-Ahmar encouraged them to view challenges as growth opportunities, embrace them with dedication, and utilize their education to tackle real-world problems creatively. She stressed the importance of hard work, determination, and continuous learning in achieving their goals.
