Under the auspices of the Saudi Central Bank, Mastercard’s new Gateway expands its regional presence, emphasizing its role as a key partner in Saudi Arabia’s digital transformation and economic diversification efforts.

The Mastercard Gateway serves as a comprehensive solution for payment processing, supporting over 30 payment methods and offering advanced fraud protection. This infrastructure enhances local ecommerce transactions’ efficiency and security.

Adam Jones, Division President at Mastercard, highlighted the importance of robust payment infrastructure in driving digital and economic progress, reaffirming Mastercard’s commitment to supporting Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.

Mastercard’s long-term engagement in Saudi Arabia has significantly boosted digital payment acceptance, fostering growth in fintech, cybersecurity, and e-commerce sectors. In 2023, Mastercard Gateway processed over 950 million payments, facilitating digital commerce expansion.
