Mastercard has launched its Mastercard Gateway in Saudi Arabia, supported by The Saudi Central Bank. This infrastructure aims to enhance local e-commerce transaction processing.

The Mastercard Gateway serves as a central hub for payment and digital acceptance solutions, aiding both local and global markets. Merchants can access over 30 payment options and advanced risk management tools, including fraud prevention, while customers benefit from enhanced cybersecurity.

This new infrastructure offers efficient and secure transaction processing, tailored to meet local needs. According to Adam Jones, Division President, West Arabia at Mastercard, the initiative underscores Mastercard’s dedication to empowering economies and people through robust payment systems.

The project aligns with Saudi Vision 2030, aiming to bolster digital transformation and the national economy using relevant technology. With access to a vast global network, Mastercard Gateway supports over 500,000 merchants and processed over 950 million payments in 2023, fostering digital commerce growth in Saudi Arabia.
