Saudi Arabia’s National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) has unveiled its second package of cybersecurity tools as part of its strategic initiative to bolster the country’s digital infrastructure. The comprehensive toolkit aims to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of cybersecurity measures across various sectors, aligning with Saudi Arabia’s efforts to combat evolving threats and boost digital readiness.

The newly released toolkit includes a range of templates and procedures for developing robust cybersecurity policies and standards. It caters to a wide spectrum of entities in both the government and private sectors, and is available in Arabic and English.

The toolkit, developed through extensive research of cybersecurity policies and best practices, covers critical topics such as malware protection, risk management, email and network security, web application protection, data security, user and mobile device security, industrial control systems, social media, and virtual environments.

The NCA emphasizes that the implementation of these tools aims to ensure a safer cyber environment for all stakeholders in the Kingdom. The availability of the toolkit on the NCA’s website ensures easy access and widespread adoption.

The NCA’s commitment to establishing and governing cybersecurity policies, frameworks, standards, and guidelines in Saudi Arabia is reflected in this initiative. The authority plays a vital role in protecting the region’s vital interests, national security, and critical infrastructures.

These cybersecurity reforms in Saudi Arabia align with the country’s position as one of the global leaders in the field. In June, Saudi Arabia secured the second place in the Global Cybersecurity Index in the World Competitiveness Yearbook for 2023 by the Swiss-based International Institute for Management Development.

Furthermore, the NCA recently hosted the Global Cybersecurity Forum in Riyadh and announced its second cybersecurity accelerator program in October, which aims to boost entrepreneurship, investment, and innovation in the sector. The program has already provided financial support and guidance to expanding companies.
