The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) has entered into a strategic alliance with tech giant Samsung Electronics Co., aimed at fostering the growth of digital technology within the Kingdom. The partnership was officiated through a memorandum of understanding (MoU) that was signed amidst the fervor of the third LEAP technological conference in Riyadh.

Held at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center from March 4 to 7, 2024, the LEAP conference served as the backdrop for this significant collaboration. Under the theme ‘Into New Worlds,’ the event saw SDAIA not just as a participant, but a key strategic partner championing the cause of artificial intelligence.

The MoU was inked by Saleh bin Salem Musaibah, the Assistant Director of the National Information Center for the Tawakkalna, on behalf of SDAIA, and by Hyun-Dong Lee, the General Manager of Samsung Saudi Electronics Limited. This agreement paves the way for enhancing the digital ecosystem in the Kingdom by ensuring that all Samsung devices in the region will come pre-installed with the Tawakkalna system applications.

In addition to software integration, the collaboration also encompasses a commitment to develop local expertise through training services and workshops. These sessions will focus on imparting knowledge on the latest technological methodologies used in application development, thereby promoting innovation and skill development in the region.
