At the prestigious World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) has taken the stage to exhibit its advancements in smart-city technology. This demonstration occurred at the Digital Saudi Exhibition, an event that runs parallel to the Forum from January 15 to 19.
SDAIA’s display includes the Smart C national platform, designed for the orchestration of smart cities. This platform is instrumental in managing and monitoring vital sectors within Riyadh, enhancing service levels and quality of life for its residents. It is equipped with strategic indicators, advanced analytics, and simulation models, which are crucial for planning and projecting future urban developments.
By participating in this international event, SDAIA is not only promoting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as a leader in data and AI but also highlighting the substantial progress made in these fields. The kingdom has rapidly ascended in global AI rankings, bolstering the objectives of the Saudi Vision 2030 to position the country at the forefront of the data and AI industry.
As an extension of its commitment to pioneering smart city solutions, SDAIA is also preparing to host Saudi Arabia’s inaugural Global Smart City Forum in Riyadh. Scheduled for February 12-13, the forum will gather 80 speakers from over 40 nations to discuss the ambitious future of smart urban living, emphasizing sustainable development and enhanced living standards.
