Two hundred educational institutions in Saudi Arabia are poised to integrate advanced educational technologies created by the Kazakhstani startup CodiPlay, as announced by the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan.
The collaboration was cemented during the LEAP 2024 technology forum in Riyadh, establishing a strategic partnership between CodiPlay and the Artificially Intelligent Learning Assistant (AILA), with the support of Saudi Arabia’s National Technology Development Program (NDTP) and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT).
Through this memorandum of strategic partnership, CodiPlay, which receives support from the Tumar Venture Fund, plans to roll out its cutting-edge educational products aimed at boosting IT literacy among Saudi Arabian students. This initiative is in line with the nation’s Vision 2030, which seeks to prepare its youth for the digital future and lessen its economic reliance on oil.
CodiPlay’s educational solution includes a mobile app that allows students to acquire programming skills in languages such as Scratch, C++, and Python through gamified learning experiences. Furthermore, CodiKits facilitate the assembly of different Internet of Things (IoT) projects, and the ‘CodiTeach’ web platform aids teachers in providing effective IT instruction.
Our partnership with AILA goes beyond mere technological innovation. It underscores our commitment to equipping young minds with the skills and knowledge essential for navigating an increasingly digital world, stated Zhanadil Taldybayev, founder and CEO of CodiPlay, emphasizing the significance of the alliance.
Yousef Alsayed, CEO of AILA, recognized the partnership’s capacity to transform IT education in Saudi Arabia. He remarked, Our goal is to nurture a new generation of IT enthusiasts who will contribute to technological progress. Together, we aim to develop an innovative model of IT education that can serve as a benchmark not only in the Middle East and North Africa but also globally.
Moreover, the partnership is part of a larger effort to encourage collaboration between Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia in the field of technological innovation. Aslan Sultanov, Tumar Fund Manager and founder of the Al-Farabi Innovation Hub, stressed the importance of such partnerships in expanding opportunities for startups and promoting global technological cooperation.
The introduction of CodiPlay’s educational solutions is anticipated to enhance Saudi Arabia’s innovative ecosystem and ensure equal access to technology for all community segments, including women and girls.
This strategic partnership between CodiPlay and AILA exemplifies the transformative impact of technology on education’s future, not just in Saudi Arabia but across the globe. With the ambitious Vision 2030 guiding the way, initiatives like this are fundamental in building a knowledge-based economy and fostering sustainable development.
