STC Group, one of MENA’s foremost digital enablers, has embarked on a collaboration with iBASIS, a global communications solutions provider, by signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) centered on the Internet of Things (IoT). This strategic move was formalized at the recent Capacity Middle East event in Dubai, with the objective of enhancing the global communication experience through IoT advancements in the region.

This MoU positions STC to leverage iBASIS’s proficiency and prominence in IoT. It facilitates developers from Europe and America in extending their IoT ventures into the MENA market.

It aims to empower international original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to seek new horizons in the MENA region, thereby nurturing the IoT ecosystem, enabling swift expansion through flexible communication services, and enriching economic prosperity and investment diversification.

Furthermore, the alliance commits to driving innovation and digital progression. The partners envisage transforming telecom services to align with evolving consumer demands, particularly within the burgeoning smart device sector.

The collaboration is also expected to generate novel solutions and reinforce IoT connectivity in MENA, addressing the escalating needs of the business community in the area.
