In a significant move to bolster the Internet of Things (IoT) landscape within the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), stc Group, a frontrunner in digital enablement, has formed a strategic alliance with iBASIS, a global communications solutions trailblazer. This collaboration, unveiled during the Capacity Middle East event in Dubai, which occurred from February 6 to 8, aims to enhance the delivery of a comprehensive global communication experience through IoT technology across the region.

The memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the two entities promises to leverage iBASIS’s prowess and standing in the IoT sector. This partnership is set to empower IoT technology developers from Europe and the United States in extending their operations into the MENA region. It is poised to bolster machine-to-machine (M2M) connectivity and encourage international Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to tap into the burgeoning MENA markets. Such a move is expected to spur the growth of IoT technologies, offering IoT developers adaptable communication services for swift regional expansion, thus aiding in the region’s economic development and diversifying its investment landscape.
