The Communications, Space, and Technology Commission (CST) is rallying support for Saudi Arabia’s entries in the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) awards, sponsored by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). The goal is to promote the nation’s projects and drive the kingdom towards a thriving digital economy that benefits everyone. Currently, 31 Saudi projects representing a blend of public and private sector initiatives are in the running for these prestigious accolades.
Participation in the voting process is open to the public and will remain so until March 31st, 2024. Enthusiasts and supporters can cast their votes on the official ITU website dedicated to the WSIS 2024 competition.
Renowned as a key international event, the WSIS prizes celebrate the role of information and communication technologies (ICT) in advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Saudi Arabia’s commitment to this cause is evident through its previous accolades, which include 13 awards and 35 certificates of excellence, showcasing the country’s dedication to ICT innovation and sustainable progress.
