Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation plans to unveil over $100 billion in investment opportunities at the World Economic Forum in Davos. This initiative is part of the Kingdom’s strategy to become a global aviation hub.
The Saudi House Pavilion will highlight key projects in aviation, including airports, airlines, and logistics. The plan includes $50 billion for airport expansion and modernization, $40 billion for purchasing new aircraft, and $10 billion for developing logistics hubs in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam.
Mohammed Al-Khurais, GACA’s executive vice president, emphasized the unprecedented scale of these opportunities, aiming to triple passenger traffic and expand to 250 destinations, handling 330 million passengers and 4.5 million tonnes of cargo annually.
The pavilion will feature discussions and announcements with industry leaders, including Abdullah Al-Dubaikhi, the assistant minister of investment, and executives from Archer Aviation and Jeddah Airport.
Key topics will include the King Salman International Airport mega-project and public-private partnerships for regional airport upgrades. Emerging sectors like Advanced Air Mobility and business aviation will also be explored.
This initiative underscores Saudi Arabia’s dedication to modernizing its aviation network and influencing the future of global aviation. The pavilion aims to present the Kingdom’s economic vision, encouraging collaboration among global leaders and investors.
