Léon Soulier, CEO of Siemens Mobility Middle East Africa, expressed confidence in Hagemeier’s appointment, highlighting his operational expertise and leadership skills. Soulier noted, Frank’s experience in international mobility projects and his tenure at Siemens will be invaluable for Saudi Arabia’s ambitious transportation goals.

Hagemeier began his career in aviation with Fokker Aircraft before holding various management roles in transportation. He joined Siemens in 2012 as Mobility CEO for the Netherlands and later served as CEO in China, focusing on high-speed and metro markets. After his term in China, he took on several management positions at Siemens Mobility headquarters in Germany.

Since 2006, Siemens Mobility has been a key player in Saudi Arabia’s transportation infrastructure, including the East-West Rail Line and the Haramain High-Speed Rail project. The company has also contributed to the Al-Mashaaer Al-Mugaddassah Metro line and is currently involved in constructing Lines 1 and 2 for the Riyadh Metro as part of the BACS consortium.
